All That is Gold Does Not Glitter
All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wonder are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.

This is probably my favorite poem. It can be found twice in the Lord of the Rings, The Fellowship of the Ring, first in a letter by Gandalf to Frodo when he is at the inn in Bree, and again recited by Bilbo Baggins, the author of the poem. The poem refers to Aragorn, and was written by Bilbo when he first found out about his true identity, and is used by Gandalf in the letter to refer to him as well. I really like this poem because not only it sounds amazing to say and is from the greatest book(s) of all times, but also it is really encouraging and, honestly, cool. It just works as a really inspiring message and is really interesting, and everyone can apply the poem to their lives in some way.
