"What is interpretive or dramatic reading? How is this reading different from the solo or class reading you have been doing?"
During a dramatic reading, also known as interpretive reading you not only read the words as you would normally read, you read as if you were the character yourself. You try to interpret the text and add emotion to it, you try to bring the text to life. It is different from a solo reading mainly because it is read not only by one person, but it is read by many people, as many people as there are characters. It is also very different from a normal class reading because during a normal reading you don't try to impersonate the character, you just read the words as you would read normally, you don't add any emotion or read it as if you were the character. During a interpretive reading you make the characters com to life, you add a personality and you make the reading and the whole scene believable.
